Be vigilant when dealing with local police or other officials, in case they’re not who they claim to be, but instead are imposters. You must not give anyone your original passport; it may be gone for good if you do. If they insist on transporting you to an office, walk with them. Never ride in a vehicle with a stranger, no matter how nice they are.

When embarking on a cruise, find a hotel nearby that has free parking, and spend the night before the departure. Even if they don’t publicize the service, it can’t hurt to ask about free parking deals at your hotel.

Try getting in a big workout before you board the plane. Long flights are found to be hard to sit through. When you are forced to sit in the same position for hours on end, your back and legs can cramp up. Working out prior to a long flight can relax your body and reduce uncomfortable feelings in your body due to the flight.
